Nuffield College underwent a branding exercise in 2016, at which point the College had its crest and logo redrawn and introduced the distinctive teal look you can see all around the College.

NB The way we implement this brand has evolved over the last 5 years, so if you would like to use the College's visual identity - including its logo and/or crest - or would like any advice on producing Nuffield College-branded materials and publications, please email comms@nuffield.ox.ac.uk.

We have recently updated branded templates for Word, Powerpoint and Excel, which will be installed on all Nuffield computers on Wednesday 16 November 2021 - see these instructions for how to access and use these templates.

For members of the College who do not use a Nuffield computer or who use a Mac, you can access and download these templates from the dedicated Sharepoint 'Templates' folder (Nuffield login required).

There are also several templates available for specific purposes, including:

If you have any branding needs not covered by these templates, please contact Catherine Farfan at comms@nuffield.ox.ac.uk.

College members who use a Mac computer will need to manually add the Nuffield College fonts to their computers. Instructions and the relevant files can be found in the 'Nuffield fonts for MACS' Sharepoint folder (Nuffield login required).

As we are all working remotely from time to time, we have produced a series of Nuffield backgrounds that can be used on video calls

Adding a background to Teams:

To add a background to Teams, first, download your background of choice from the Sharepoint folder (Nuffield login required) and save it in a location you can easily find.

When you are on a call in Teams:

  • Open up the menu indicated by the ‘…’ (next to the call settings and chat buttons), and open ‘Apply background effects’.
  • Select ‘Add new’, find your new background in your files, and then, once you have selected it, click ‘Apply’.

We have a Photo Repository for images taken in and of the College that have been cleared for use in College publications and communications.

Access to the photo repository is restricted: if you need access for your work or have specific photography needs, please contact comms@nuffield.ox.ac.uk.

The College's Social Media Policy (17 May 2023) provides all College members with an overview and guidance regarding social media usage.

It can also be found on the Policies and Resources page of the public website.
