Loan notebook computers

The College usually has a store of notebooks (most of which run Windows 10) which can be borrowed by any member of College for up to 2 months. They can be used for any work relating to the person's normal College function. The specification of the notebooks vary, so please let us know if you have any particular hardware or software requirements.

When you collect any loan item, you will be asked to sign the loan agreement lending form. This indicates the date that the item is due to be returned and the terms and conditions of the loan. 

Booking

The booking should be made via email. Please give us as much notice as possible (preferably at least 48 hours notice, to run patches etc.). There is no priority system and allocation is on a strictly first come, first served basis.

Software

All the notebooks have Microsoft Office and Acrobat Reader installed. Additional software must be requested at the time of booking as you will not have admin privileges on the device to install anything yourself.

Where the software requested is controlled by single user licences, it may not always be possible to meet all requests, but you may still be able to access the software you need via the academic Remote Desktop Service. 

Other loan items

Other items that are available for loan include a portable projector, CD/DVD drives and burners. Occasionally, we may have leads and monitors. All items are available on a first come, first served basis, as stock allows.
