Computer Problems

If you are having problems with your computer, please contact us by email or in person in room D17, giving as much detail as possible. Information that is useful for us:

  • When the problem started
  • Whether any new software/hardware has been installed recently
  • Details of any error messages

You will need to be present should a password be required, or the language needs translation. If you are having problems with a laptop, please remember to bring your power supply with you.

We will endeavour to help you with any computing problem you have, but please note that advice on the following is given only where time and resources allow:

  • Repairing your personally-owned computer
  • Support with your own software
  • Advanced use of application software

The University offers a chargeable repair service. Details are available at the IT Services website.
