Connecting to the wired network

To connect your own computer to the College network, you first need to complete a short registration process.

You may register as many devices as you wish.

Please note - we do not allow wireless routers, access points, switches or hubs to be connected to the network.

College telephone handsets are Voice over Internet Protocal (VOIP).
If present, you must connect your device via the handset, as follows:

Wall Ethernet port connects to the phone ‘network’ port.
Then the phone ‘PC’ port connects to the device Ethernet port.

  1. Open a web browser and try to visit any webpage and you should automatically be redirected to a (PacketFence) registration page https://nuff-pf.nuff.ox.ac.uk/captive-portal

  2. You will need to read and agree to the following conditions to proceed.

    PF Ts&Cs
  3. Here you just need to enter your Nuffield username (suffixed with @nuff.ox.ac.uk) and password then select Continue.

    PF login

After a few seconds your connection should be enabled.

If the registration process does not complete, please provide your Ethernet MAC address and we can finish the process for you.
