Troubleshooting printing problems

If you are having printing problems please consider the following:

  • Check that the printer has paper - additional paper can be found at the Lodge.
  • Have you selected a size or type of paper other than the defaults (e.g not A4 or A3, or labels instead of paper)?
    • If so, these need the appropriate paper added to the bypass tray on the side of the printer.
  • Check the printer control panel for paper jams or other error messages. 
  • Check the print queue.
    • To do this, locate the printer on your computer, double click on the printer in question and look to see whether there are any documents queued for printing
    • Try cancelling or deleting any jobs that won't print and resend them.
  • Turn the printer off and on again - locate the power button (this will vary depending on the printer model) and turn the printer off.
    - Leave it for a couple of seconds then turn it on again.
